I'm a graduate of Hampton University in Hampton, VA. I graduated with a BA in Sociology in 2002. I earned a Master's (MA) in Education and human development in 2005, from George Washington University. My emphasis included teaching students with learning disabilities. I'm looking to further my studies with a certification in educational technology.
Experience
Currently I am a middle school English Teacher who teaches students with learning disabilities. My previous teaching experience includes high school English Literature teacher and ESL instructor at Soongsil University in Seoul, South Korea. While a high school teacher, I tutored for 3 years with the Commonweal Organization. Commonweal offered free tutoring for students with learning disabilities and financial needs.

Hobbies
I love music. I have an eclectic taste in music, including jazz, rock, funk/soul, pop, bluegrass, dance and hip hop. I also enjoy the movies. I usually catch all of the seasonal blockbusters but I also enjoy documentaries, independent and foreign films. Of course I love to read, everything from biographies to comic books. I'm a Marvel fan and I'm knowledgeable about the characters in the Marvel Universe. I'm enjoy biking, hiking and running. I often run races a few times a year. Most recently, I've become a fan of Minecraft.
