I went to Miami University of Ohio to earn my bachelor's degree in English. I then went to Clemson University for my masters degree in English, and I'm now studying for a doctoral degree in English from the University of Maryland. I currently teach literature and composition at the college level, among others. I enjoy working with students in one-on-one environment to help them develop critical reading and writing skills. I enjoy helping students build their creativity and analytical skills, which are important in helping them become better readers and writers. The ability to combine analysis and creativity is really powerful, and I enjoy helping students cultivate this ability. When I have free time, I like to play the guitar, read, and spend time outdoors. I really enjoy poetry as well.
